Handmade in a sterling silver ring base is this one of a kind polished lava rock inlaid with authentic turquoise. The 1,500 – 5,000-year-old lava rock is from a lava field in Carrizozo, called the Valley of Fires. The turquoise shards, also locally sourced, were purposefully carved and placed, adding a touch of both color and character. Small sterling silver beads frame the rectangular centerpiece. The artist’s initials, “JB”, have been stamped by hammer onto the back.
A self-adjustable band allows for the perfect fit for every finger, every time.
If you are interested in a customized ring (or any other piece), Dr. B would love to make you something specific which incorporates your style preferences, and may include adding gold embellishments, using a different stone (multiple-color options of turquoise, abalone, and more) or a design incorporating a centerpiece created from a beloved stone or non-traditional element. This lava rock and hand-embedded turquoise ring is an example of the technique Dr.B painstakingly created to transform a customer’s collected lava rock into wearable art.
